The Battery on the southend of Vico Road is a sharp bend to the right down past Bono's kip.
Farmboy posted it somewhere but I can't find it...I'll be back! :D

This is close to it. If you head the other way towards Bray down the road towards Killiney Station, like I said theres a very sharp bend around a curved Granite wall...

They are great photos Strum, thanks for taking the time out to take them.
I will have another look to see if the battery shows up on the old map.

Great to see all the towers together, that one in Killiney though I think the extension on it could have been made to look a lot better ? :???:

Now that's interesting Major. I never knew the Trams took the Coast Road.

Just looking through some of Strum,s great pics of the Martello Towers and by coincidence I soon after came across this pic. I took it from Mullins Hill and presumably the tower is the one down the hill from Killiney village. Most other pics of it are from the other side and dont recall seeing one with a cannon on top of it. Looks like the real thing and I wonder could it be an original from there.

Thanks Farmboy. Yes it is the one on Killiney Hill Road. Nice shot from a different perspective.
It was renovated a while back and if you remember Jordo climed the Wall and posted a pic of the Cannon behind the front Wall. :D
