John Hickey/Hickie, Dun Laoighaire,
I would like any information on John Hickey who was shot on the 14/12/1920 and is buried in Deansgrange, The information that I have is that he was shot in the back by the Black and Tans, but I have heard lately that the Tans did not operate in Dublin, so any information would be welcomed,

The above links seems to be dead.

If anybody knows Margaret who posted the original query, could they please pass on the good news that plans to erect a headstone on John's grave at at an advanced stage and it should be erected with 4-6 weeks.

Hello Margaret I think the committee who were arranging the erection of the headstond at Deansgrange to John Hickey were anxious to invite you to the unveiling. It has probably gone ahead but I have a mutual friend with Derrindaffderg and I will try to get a message to him to answer you here.
